Once upon a time, women came together and shared. While doing the work of helping a new mother usher in life, preserving the harvest, or stitching a quilt that would be placed on a new bride’s bed, they laughed, they cried, and they normalized all the things that are hard about being a wife, a mother… a woman. Today we have lost much of that sense of community— even in Christian circles. Women who have chosen the traditional route of homemaker are often not walking in the footsteps laid down by her own mother or grandmother, but rather returning to a way of life left behind generations ago. Without access to Titus 2 mentors who can speak from their own experiences, we’re struggling to reinvent a wheel, while no longer fashionable, never stopped spinning.
