This week is going to be hard. I’m not even going to mince words here, friends. We’re in the middle of the days 6-10 read throughs with an intense focus on our triggers, and frankly, you’re a moving target. The enemy of your soul isn’t as likely to drag you down without a fight these days, so be prepared for anything and everything to pop up and distract you from reading, praying, and moving forward in the process of asking the Lord to sanctify you.
My tip? Make your read-through or listening time a priority first thing in the morning. That way, if you don’t get to it, you have a longer window to catch up, versus assuming you’ll do it before bed and, well… you know what happens then.
I’ve heard from so many of you about the growth you’ve already had through this study, and I wanted to share a few quotes (with permission!) as encouragment:
“I honestly never realized how often I am frustrated in the course of the day. By 10 a.m., I had listed 12 things that had me irked enough to write them down, and none of those were even big things. Wow. I’m convicted.”
“I would have never pegged myself as a control freak, but my triggers say otherwise.”
“I love my kids so much. How can I not commit to this, when it’s literally already changing the way I parent for the better and giving them a better mother in the process?”
Stay the course, friends! We’l shake things up on the 11th, and start working on a big stumbling point when it comes to anger… COMPARISON. Anyone ready to say ouch?
In Christ,
Heather
